Welcome to Criterium

It's all about the ride! Meet your friends at Criterium, or start a wonderful solo ride here. If you are visiting from out of town, we can accept your shipped bike and get it ready for you. Or, just take a rental bike out for a spin --road, mountain, or tandem bikes are available year-round. Groups are welcome to meet here on the porch. Our restrooms, bike pumps, and friendly staff are standing by to take care of those last-minute emergencies. Don't forget the sunscreen! If you are bike shopping, our bike fit services are quick and practical.

We are all bikes -- all the time! We keep full-time hours all year, closing only for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and a blizzard now and then. This is the ideal time to come in for a Body Scan, or to spend some time contemplating upgrades to your equipment. Our staff projects include designing a shop jersey, creating road route maps, building up bikes with frames from Turner, Cannondale, and Monument Cycles, and developing our training curriculum for VeloNation.

We look forward to becoming your base camp for riding in the Pikes Peak Region! All year. Check out our VeloNation cycling classes to maintain and improve your cycling skills.

Yes, we ride bikes, too.

Our most unusual champion is Brian Crolley, who set a world record for Bicycle Messenger Track Standing in the US competition in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2006. Brian stayed upright on his bike without forward movement for 38 minutes. For the last 18 minutes, he balanced with only one foot and no hands on the bike.

Bold Pinks--for Women this time!
SPECIALIZED stepped up to the pink for 2007 with a new women's Stumpjumper FSR. There was a time when Specialized sold men's bikes in pink as a race color, but this is the first time we have seen a racy pink for women who are sure of their femininity.

Other color options for women in 2007 include a terrific silver ano finish on the Stumpjumper hardtrail and the women's Epic, pictured here just behind the Stumpjumper FSR. We continue to stock Hardrocks, Rockhoppers, and Dolce road bikes in various shades of blue and turquoise.

PEARL IZUMI has brought us technical clothes in teal, rose, cranberry, red, baby blue, and black, but for 2007 they just climbed on board with straightforward pink choices. This jacket features zippers in the raglan sleeve that detach the sleeves to give you the option of an equally fetching pink riding vest with a mesh panel in the back. So, hot or cold, you are all set to just be yourself.
Whether or not they have been consumed by the princess message in mass marketing, many little girls under the age of four choose pink for their first bike. Specialized makes the HOTROCK 12, pictured here, for riders from 2 -4, and bikes for the 5-9 year-olds with either coaster brakes or 6-speed mountain bike gearing.

Get the princess the real thing, and watch the kingdom rock.

Other 2007 products available in pink: Helmets, wool socks, gloves
